Details
Park in the car park off Ogden Lane. The car park is suitable for cars but not larger vehicles. On my last visit there was an honesty box for paying your small parking fee.
Take the path out to the West of the car park and into the woods. Drop down until you end up by the stream at the North end of Ogden water. Cross the stile and follow the stream up the valley.
Continue to ascend with the stream until you reach the small dam wall with metal railings. Turn left and cross the dam taking the path onto the moor.
Follow the path over the moor for almost a mile. The wind farm is across on your right as you cross the moor.
Pass through the metal gate and then turn right, following the track called Withens New Road to the building.
Turn right and take Cold Edge Road. This is a quiet road as it doesn't go anywhere and slowly degenerates in quality.
Cross the cattle grid and continue along Cold Edge Road as it move along above Warley Moor reservoir.
Continue past the end of the reservoir. As the road starts to descend take the signed footpath off to the right. The path now swings east along the northerly edge of the moor.
Follow the path along the edge. As you start to descend towards Thornton Moor reservoir take the path the swings round to the right and stay on the higher ground heading south east, back towards Ogden Water.
The path becomes increasingly well defined and becomes a track.
As you head down the valley back to Ogden Water take the right hand fork as you draw level with the edge of the woodland to your right. This path will lead you into the woods and back to the car park.
