Brief description

A short walk around More Hall reservoir. Partly on a quiet lane and partly through woodland bordering the reservoir. A beautiful quiet location, with views across the reservoir. The trees are wonderful all year round. A popular spot for a gentle stroll. The dam wall and the lane are flat and level with a good surface and are suitable for wheel chair users or those who find uneven surfaces difficult.

Details

The walk starts at the dam wall at the eastern end of the reservoir. Park on the lane.

The instructions for this walk are rather simple. Follow the lane west by the reservoir. Follow the lane as it swings round to the left, then go through the gate and follow the permissive path back along the bank of the reservoir. Complete the circuit by crossing the dam wall.

There are horse chestnut trees along the lane, which makes it a good source of conkers at the right time of year.

The path is a permissive path provided by Yorkshire Water.
